  What Did You Do With Your WWW Money When You Left?

  question: when you awakened and discovered the truth about "da troof", what did you do with the www money in your service bag?.

  i must confess: i took my apostate brother out to lunch and paid for it with my www stash.

  i hadn't deposited my money in a long time, so there was about $30 in there.. .

  Having looked into publishing my own (never completed) work, the WTS is probably doing very well with what they bring in. Even at a smaller scale, paperbacks can be printed a thousand at a time for about 50 cents each, the magazines for about a dime, and the 192 page books can be had for a buck maybe two. I would be surprised if the Kingdom interlinear would cost $10 to print. Keep in mind that these estimates are for: farming out the work, paying taxes, and buying only 1000 of them. A non-prophet on the scale of the WTS can do it for less than half of what my guesses are.

  Using Wikipedia to Quote Sources

  recently, i've seen alot of posts using cut-n-pastes from wikipedia.

  .now, i love wikipedia - but - for those of you who may not be aware - wikipedia is not a credible source.

  we aren't allowed to use it as a reference for any paper in university, and anyone who wants to be taken seriously as a scholar and researcher would lose all credibility by using wikipedia as a direct reference.. wikipedia is user-created - which means i can create a wiki on any subject i choose (whether i know anything about it or not).

  parents went to a jw gathering to read the wt for this week.a jw said that only 5 people out of 125 in my congo will survive armageddon and then that elder said: "no,not 5 people,maybe 20".

  If Jehober truly loves Dubs, he would loosen the requirements so that there would be more of them to clean up the mess after the Big A. How is a million Dubs ever going to build houses for 20 billion people? That is about 1 house a month for a thousand years - with everything else they have to do.

  the speed of that process will not allow his blood cells time to regenerate, meaning he will require transfusions so that the chemotherapy can continue unabated.. in a statement read to the court, the boy said transfusions carried spiritual consequences.. "the doctors have told me i might die and i don't want to - but i don't want blood," he said.. "the blood will change me... when you take blood, you are taking someone else's life.. "i really don't want this and my heart is ripping apart.".

  I didn't know what a JW was, until I fell for one

  when i fell for him i was completely unaware of his upbringing as a jw and only became aware once he decided to leave a few months back.

  being raised without much of a religious basis, besides the typical western christian exposure, i have researched, read, attended groups, read in this forum, to try to better understand him, and jws, but i am feeling at a loss here.

  he just recently left the jws and now i am experiencing this struggle with him; i am wondering how much of our problems can be contributed to this transition.

  Some thoughts:

  · If his attitudes are unacceptable now, are you willing to bet the rest of your life that he will improve?

  · Pity for him is not a good basis for a relationship.

  · You can’t fix anyone.

  · I was an absolute mess at the time my wife and I were dating, I have NEVER been abusive to her in any way. Depression or what ever is no excuse.

  · If you are willing to cater to him now, why shouldn’t he expect the same in the future?

  · If you decide, in the future, that you will not take it anymore; you are going to completely overturn his world – again.

  · Do you want sons that behave just as he does?

  · Do you want your daughters to be treated as you are?

  What you do is your business. I fear for your children. Do what you know you should do - for your sake as well as your future children. I truly wish for happiness for the both of you. From the sounds of things, he has a lot of stuff to work out before he is able to engage in a healthy relationship.
